About Corning Skatepark Association

The Corning Skate & Bike Association was formed in July of 2009 to promote the construction of a permanent skateboard and bike park in the City of Corning.

The Association has an eight member Board of Directors chaired by Shannon Petersen and Madeline Brooks. Board Members include John Richards, Dean Cofer, Teresa Smith, Dot Linnet, John Eller, Ron Stubbs and Allen Turner.

Since its inception the association has added over 170 volunteers to its roster and it is continuing to grow in size.

The Skate & Bike Association is actively engaged in the site selection, planning, fund raising, and exploration of grants and, with the assistance of the City of Corning and the Corning Community Foundation, has at its goal the building of a permanent skateboard and bike park in Corning.

We strongly believe that the youth of Corning who ride skate boards and bikes deserve a safe and legal place where they can practice and enjoy the sports of their choice.
